Abstract


Noise intensityexceeds thethreshold value isa problemthatneeds tobe preventedbecause it canbe bad forhealthand work safety.The previous researchthat has beendoneshowedthatone of the effectsof noiseon healthisan increase inbloodpressure. This studywasan observationalanalyticstudy, using cross sectional approachwith a sample of15employeesRingFrameunitPT. APACINTICORPORA. Sampling wasdone usingpurposive samplingmethod.Noise intensitywas measured bySoundLevel Meter(SLM) andbloodpressurewas measured by digitaltension meter,this measurement was conducted for 7 days in order to get the accurate result. Processingtechniquesanddata analysis was donewithstatisticPaired SampleT-Test.The results showed that the intensity of noise is 95.09 dB which exceeds the noise limit value. Statistical test Paired Sample T-Test showed the results of t value for systolic blood pressure was -22,284 and the diastolic pressure was -38,055, where both of these were out of the range of t table ± 1,761. It stated there was a change on blood pressure of the workers after getting the noise exposed, so there is a correlation between noise and blood pressure of workers in Ring Frame Unit PT. APAC INTI CORPORA Bawen, Semarang.
