Abstract
The phenomenon of urbanization is a phenomenon that often occurs, especially in developing countries. This happens because of many factors, one of which is uneven facilities and uncontrolled population growth. Urbanization also occurs in Indonesia which has an impact on several things, one of which is the widening of urban areas and the growth of new urban areas or the emergence of small cities. This happened on the island of Java and more precisely the study area of this research was in Kendal Regency. Urbanization and the development of small towns in the province have developed in recent years. One of the factors is the existence of Mega Urban Joglosemar which is designated as a National Activity Center. Kendal Regency is also included in the Kedungsepur Metropolitan Area which is designated as a National Activity Center and National Strategic Area. These factors have led to the growth of small towns and are accompanied by a growing population in Kendal Regency.
