Abstract

The development of the tourism industry is very interesting, although it is a sector that is very sensitive to changes that have a significant impact on the number of tourists visiting the region. The development of a tourist destination is not far from the decision to visit tourists, making the decision to visit becomes a process for determining tourists to carry out a tourist trip which is carried out on the basis of tourist needs, each of which depends on the interests of the tourist. There are several factors that can influence the decision to visit, one of which is tourism geography taken from the concept of geography with a spatial approach, such as how tourists determine tourist destinations and their habits in a spatial context with supporting factors in the form of affordability, distance, and location.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of spatial factors on the decision to visit tourists. This research was conducted in Tanjung Lesung SEZ, Tanjung Jaya Village, Panimbang District, Pandeglang Regency. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach using logistic regression analysis by collecting data through distributing questionnaires to tourists who visited the SEZ and people who had never visited the Tanjung Lesung SEZ as respondents. From the overall analysis, the factors of spatial affordability, distance, and location simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the decision to visit tourists. The location variable has a big influence on the decision to visit tourists. The magnitude of the influence of the independent variable (independent) on the influence variable (dependent) of tourists is 46.1%, the remaining 53.9% is influenced by other variables outside the regression equation.
