ANALISIS PEMBINAAN UMKM DI KAWASAN WISATA GUCI TEGAL

Abstract

The Guci Tourism Area in Tegal Regency is a leading tourist destination that provides a livelihood for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, this potential has not been matched by structured and sustainable MSME development from the local government. This study aims to analyze MSME development in the Guci Tourism Area in Tegal Regency based on Musanef's development theory, which encompasses the dimensions of planning, formulation, construction, development, and direction. The research gap in this study lies in the limited number of studies on MSME development in tourism areas that develop without formal government development programs. The research method used was a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that MSME development has not been optimal, particularly in the planning and development aspects. Therefore, the role of community associations (paguyuban) has emerged as a community initiative to support business coordination. Therefore, more planned, coordinated, and sustainable development is needed.
