ANALISIS KINERJA DINAS KEPENDUDUKAN DAN PENCATATAN SIPIL KOTA SEMARANG DALAM OPTIMALISASI KEPEMILIKAN KIA DI KECAMATAN MIJEN

Abstract

Children aged 0-17 years old have an identity document called a Child Identity Card (KIA) issued by the District/City Population and Civil Registration Office. Every year the Semarang City Disdukcapil sets a target for KIA ownership, but it has not yet been achieved. The unachieved KIA target may affect the performance of the Semarang City Disdukcapil. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of Semarang City Disdukcapil in optimizing KIA in Mijen Sub-district. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with primary and secondary data. The results found that the Disdukcapil of Semarang City has made various efforts to optimize KIA ownership such as conducting socialization, collaborating with various parties, and conducting KIA ball pick-up service activities. However, there are still some obstacles such as lack of human resources and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the lack of public awareness of KIA is also an obstacle. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct socialization massively and evenly in each sub-district and village as well as adding human resources and infrastructure, so that KIA ownership can be optimal.
