PERAN STAKEHOLDERS DALAM MENCEGAH PERKAWINAN PADA USIA ANAK DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Abstract

Child marriage is a marriage performed by individuals who have not reached the age of 19 years. The implementation of child marriage can cause various negative impacts that affect the mental health and development of children, and result in the failure to fulfill children's basic rights. This practice still occurs in various regions in Indonesia, one of which is in Sleman Regency. Although laws and regulations have been issued that set the minimum age limit for marriage at 19 years, cases of marriage dispensation applications in Sleman Regency are still relatively high. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of stakeholders in preventing cases of child marriage in Sleman Regency and to analyze the roles that are still not optimal in implementing the policy. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of child marriage prevention in Sleman Regency is still not optimal because the role of the coordinator has not been filled and officially determined so that the roles between stakeholders are still running each according to their responsibilities.
