Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease that is still a public health problem in Indonesia, including in Semarang City. Sendangmulyo Village, as an endemic area for DHF, experiences fluctuating cases every year. One of the efforts to control DHF is through the role of mosquito larvae control cadres who are tasked with monitoring and eradicating mosquito larvae in the community environment. This study aims to determine the performance of cadres in controlling DHF in Sendangmulyo Village and the supporting and inhibiting factors for this performance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the performance of cadres is considered quite good in terms of quality, quantity, effectiveness, timeliness, and discipline. However, there are still obstacles in its implementation, including lack of community participation, limited resources, and less than optimal institutional support. Internal factors such as motivation and knowledge of cadres also affect performance, while community support and health agencies are important external factors in supporting the success of DHF control. Strengthening coordination and cross-sektoral support is needed so that cadre performance is increasingly optimal in reducing the incidence of DHF in the Sendangmulyo Village area.
