OPTIMALISASI PELAYANAN PUBLIK BERBASIS E-GOVERNMENT MELALUI APLIKASI MAGESTY (MAGELANG SMART CITY) DI KOTA MAGELANG

Abstract

MAGESTY (Magelang Smart City) in Magelang City is an application developed by the Magelang City government to provide public services and information to the community. However, the application that is supposed to provide services and information to the people of Magelang City has not been able to perform optimally due to several issues faced. This research aims to optimize public services based on e-Government through the MAGESTY (Magelang Smart City)) application and identify the inhibiting factors in optimization. This research uses a descriptive method with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research results show that with the phenomena of support, capacity, and value, it is possible to optimize e-government-based public services through the MAGESTY (Magelang Smart City) application in the City of Magelang, thereby enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the government in meeting the needs of the community. However, the optimization process still faces challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, leadership, and cultural factors. Therefore, there is a need for improvements in technology infrastructure, commitment and willingness from leaders, and education or socialization for the community regarding changes in electronic services and information.
