IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN PERCEPATAN PENURUNAN DAN PENCEGAHAN STUNTING TERINTEGRASI KELURAHAN MARGOMULYO KABUPATEN NGAWI
Abstract
Indonesia’s national development prioritizes health improvements, including efforts to accelerate stunting reduction, a condition caused by malnutrition and chronic infection during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). In 2021, SSGI reported that Indonesia’s stunting prevalence reached 24,4% with Ngawi Regency at 28,5% and Margomulyo Village recording the highest prevalence at 37,46%. To address this issue, the Ngawi Regency Government implemented policies under Regent Regulation No. 4.A of 2020 through the Family Independence Program, the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas) and the HPK Movement. This study aims to analyze the implementation of policies to accelerate stunting reduction in Margomulyo Village and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a descriptive qualitative method with Van Meter and Van Horn’s top-down approach, data collection includes interviews, observations and literature studies. The findings indicate that the Family Independence Program faces challenges such as low public awareness of nutritional health and economic constrains. Therefore, increasing nutritional education and expanding private sector and community support are necessary to improve access to nutritious food for at-risk families. Meanwhile, the Germas Program and the HPK Movement have been successfully implemented, supported by strong local government commitment and cross-sector coordination. Strengthening community involvement and optimizing resources are crucial to ensuring sustainable stunting reduction efforts in the region. These factors have contributed to a decline in stunting prevalence in Margomulyo Village, Ngawi Regency.
