PERAN DINAS PENGENDALIAN PENDUDUK, KELUARGA BERENCANA, PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN, DAN PERLINDUNGAN ANAK (DP2KBP3A) DALAM PENCEGAHAN PERKAWINAN ANAK DI KABUPATEN KEDIRI

Abstract

Child marriage cases in Kediri Regency show quite high numbers, even reaching 429 cases in 2023. Therefore, the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection Service (DP2KBP3A) of Kediri Regency has a role in preventing child marriage in Kediri Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the role of DP2KBP3A in preventing child marriage in Kediri Regency and to describe and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of DP2KBP3A's role in preventing child marriage in Kediri Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis and is accompanied by relevant supporting evidence. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research was conducted at DP2KBP3A Kediri Regency. The results of this study indicate that DP2KBP3A Kediri Regency has implemented various strategies in preventing child marriage, including optimizing child resources, creating a supportive environment, accessibility and expansion of services, strengthening regulations and institutions, and strengthening stakeholder coordination. Supporting factors in the role of DP2KBP3A are the implementation of various socialization, education, and counseling activities supported by cross-sectoral stakeholder cooperation. Inhibiting factors in the role of DP2KBP3A include limited budget, less than optimal management of social media and pages, the absence of special training for stakeholders involved, and the quantity of Human Resources (HR) which is still lacking.
