ANALISIS PROSES MANAJEMEN KABUPATEN KEBUMEN DALAM PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN
Abstract
This study analyzes the management process of environmental management in Kebumen Regency, focusing on waste management as a primary issue. The research employs a qualitative method to identify strategic steps implemented in waste management. The findings reveal that despite positive developments, such as the implementation of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), the establishment of waste banks, and the utilization of biogas at Kaligending landfill, waste management in Kebumen Regency remains suboptimal. Major challenges include the low activity levels of waste banks, inefficiency of 3R TPS (Temporary Waste Processing Sites), budget constraints, and insufficient infrastructure. To address these issues, enhanced inter-agency coordination, adequate budget allocation, and increased public awareness of sustainable environmental management are essential. This study provides strategic recommendations to strengthen sustainable environmental management systems while positioning Kebumen Regency as a model of innovative and effective environmental management.
