Perubahan luasan hutan mangrove di Indonesia terus terjadi tiap tahunnya. Perubahan luasan hutan mangrove disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, seperti perubahan iklim, kegiatan rehabilitasi, bencana alam, dan aktivitas antropogenik. Permasalahan degradasi telah menjadi isu tiap tahunnya sehingga dibutuhkan monitoring yang rutin dilakukan untuk mengetahui perubahan dan mempersiapkan penanganan lebih lanjut. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pemantauan menggunakan teknologi penginderaan jauh dengan melakukan analisis spasial untuk mengetahui perubahan luasan hutan mangrove di Desa Lontar dalam periode tahun 2017-2023 dengan menggunakan citra sentinel 2. Data satelit diolah dengan Software ArcGIS, QGIS, dan Google Earth Pro. Identifikasi wilayah mangrove dilakukan dengan komposit RGB 8, 11, dan 4 kemudian pemisahan objek mangrove dan non-mangrove menggunakan metode klasifikasi terbimbing. Tahap selanjutnya dilakukan analisis kerapatan dengan formula Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan wilayah mangrove Desa Lontar mengalami perubahan luasan dalam periode 3 tahun (2017-2020) sebesar 16,79 hektar dan pada periode 3 tahun (2020-2023) sebesar 7,25 hektar dengan laju perubahan dalam periode 3 tahun (2017-2020) sebesar 65,86% dan pada tahun (2020-2023) sebesar 17,14%. Secara umum, luas mangrove di Desa Lontar mengalami peningkatan atau penambahan luasan mangrove. The mangrove ecosystem in Indonesia can be found along the coasts that have calm currents and waves. The extent of mangrove forests in Indonesia changes continuously. These changes caused by several factors, such as climate change, rehabilitation activities, natural disasters, and anthropogenic activities. This degradation issue has become a significant concern, as it is estimated that the extent of mangrove areas changes annually. Therefore, regular monitoring is required to understand these changes and prepare further management actions. In this study utilized remote sensing technology and spatial analysis to monitor and identify changes in the extent of mangrove forests in Lontar village from 2017 to 2023 using Sentinel-2 imagery. The satellite data was processed using ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Pro software. The identification of mangrove areas was performed using RGB composite 8, 11, and 4, followed by separating mangrove and non-mangrove objects using the supervised classification method. The next step was to perform density analysis using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) formula. The results showed that the mangrove area in Lontar village experienced changes in extent over a three-year period (2017-2020) by 16.79 hectares and over the next three-year period (2020-2023) by 7.25 hectares, with a rate of change in the three-year period (2017-2020) of 65.86% and in the period (2020-2023) of 17.14%. Overall, the mangrove changes in Lontar village showed an increase or expansion in the mangrove area. }, issn = {2407-7690}, pages = {190--201} doi = {10.14710/jmr.v15i1.45917}, url = {https://ejournal3.undip.ac.id/index.php/jmr/article/view/45917} }
