Abstract
Group analysis is a method used to classify a range of items into various groups, ensuring that items with similar features are grouped together. Group analysis is divided into two methods, namely hierarchical methods and non-hierarchical methods. One example of a non-hierarchical grouping method is Fuzzy Gustafson Kessel (FGK). FGK is a development of the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method. The aim of this research is to determine the optimal grouping results for grouping districts/cities in Kalimantan based on housing and environmental health indicator data using the FGK method based on the validity indices of Partition Coefficient (PC), Coefficient Entropy (CE), and Modified Partition Coefficient (MPC). The conclusion of this research is that the optimal number of groups for grouping districts/cities in Kalimantan based on housing and environmental health indicators is 6 groups with a PC index value of 0.8470; CE index of 0.3365; and the MPC index is 0.8164
