PENGARUH PROTEKSI PROTEIN BUNGKIL KELAPA SAWIT DENGAN TANIN TERHADAP FERMENTABILITASNYA SECARA IN VITRO

Abstract


ABSTRACT

The study purpose is to evaluate effect of palm oil meal protein protected by tannin level of mangrove leaf on their fermentability in vitro. Completely randomized design (CRD) is used in this study with 4 replication and 4 treatments such as follows: T0 (palm oil meal + without tannin), T1 (palm oil meal + tannin 0.25%), T2 (palm oil meal + tannin 0.50%), T3 (palm oil meal + tannin 0.75%). Data are statisticaly analyzed using analysis of variance, and to test differences among treatment is used Duncan Multiple Range Test. Result of this study show that level of tannin have significantly effect (p<0.05) on the NH3 concentration, undegraded dietary protein and total protein in vitro. NH3 concentration, UDP, and their protein total namely T0, T1, T2 and T3 (3.49; 2.54; 2.39; 2.32 mM), (52.46; 55.74; 56.41; 61.84 %), and (208.98; 213.88; 215.70; 240.51 mg/g). Variance analysis test show that tannin replenishment has real affect (p<0.05) to NH3, UDP, and total protein of palm oil meal. The study can be concluded that coconut palm oil meal protein protection with mangrove leaves tannin 0.75% proved decrease amonia concentration (NH3), increase total protein and protein percent are not degradation.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh level penambahan tanin daun mangrove guna memproteksi protein bungkil kelapa sawit terhadap fermentabilitasnya secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Kombinasi perlakuan adalah T0 (bungkil kelapa sawit+tanpa tanin), T1 (bungkil kelapa sawit+tanin 0,25%), T2 (bungkil kelapa sawit+tanin 0,50%), T3 (bungkil kelapa sawit+tanin 0,75%). Hasil penelitian diolah secara statistik dengan analisis sidik ragam dan jika terdapat pengaruh nyata akibat perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan multiple range test dengan taraf 5% untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan pengaruh antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata pada T0,T1,T2,T3 konsentrasi amonia secara berturut-turut 3,49; 2,54; 2,39; 2,32 mM, persentase UDP berturut-turut 52,46; 55,74; 56,41; 61,84 %, dan produksi protein total berturut-turut 208,98; 213,88; 215,70; 240,51 mg/g. Uji variansi menunjukkan bahwa penambahan aras tanin berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap NH3, UDP, dan protein total bungkil kelapa sawit. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa proteksi bungkil kelapa sawit menggunakan 0,75% tanin daun mangrove terbukti menurunkan nilai konsentrasi amonia (NH3) serta meningkatkan produksi protein total dan persentase protein tidak terdegradasinya.
