PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN BANGLE (Zingiber cas-sumunar) DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP TOTAL LIPID DAN KOLESTEROL HATI PADA AYAM BROILER

Abstract


ABSTRACT

The research aims to provide an information about the effect of addition Bangle (Zingiber cas-sumunar) in diet of the total lipids and cholesterol in liver broiler chickens. The study was conducted on 9th March to 19th April 2012 in Cage Digestion Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang. The material used are broiler chickens, diet control diet treatment with addition bangle. Basal diet consist of yellow corn, rice bran, soybean meal, PMM (Poultry Meat Meal), coconut oil, and topmix. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, each replication used 10 units of broiler chickens. Treatments consist of T0 (basal diet + bangle 0%), T1 (basal diet + Bangle 1.5%), T2 (basal diet + bangle 3%), and T3 (basal diet + Bangle 4.5%). The results was showed that the addition of bangle in diet of broiler did not significantly affect on total lipids, liver cholesterol, ration consumption and body weight gain of broiler chickens. The conclusion of this research was the addition of bangle to 4.5% in diet showed similar results to the total liver lipids, liver cholesterol, ration consumption and body weight gain in broiler chickens.

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian adalah memberikan informasi mengenai pengaruh penambahan bangle (Zingiber cas-sumunar ) dalam ransum terhadap total lipid dan kolesterol hati pada ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Maret – 19 April 2012 di Kandang Digesti Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah ayam broiler, ransum kontrol dan ransum perlakuan yang ditambah bangle. Ransum basal berupa jagung kuning, bekatul, bungkil kedelai, PMM (Poultry Meat Meal), minyak kelapa, dan topmix. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, tiap ulangan terdapat 10 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan berupa T0 (ransum basal + bangle 0%), T1 (ransum basal + bangle 1,5%), T2 (ransum basal + bangle 3%), dan T3 (ransum basal + bangle 4,5%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan bangle dalam ransum ayam broiler tidak ada pengaruh yang nyata pada total lipid hati, kolesterol hati, konsumsi ransum, dan pertambahan bobot badan pada ayam broiler. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah penambahan bangle sampai 4,5% dalam ransum menunjukkan hasil yang sama terhadap total lipid hati, kolesterol hati, konsumsi ransum, dan pertambahan bobot badan pada ayam broiler.
