STUDI TENTANG PENGENCER KUNING TELUR DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP KUALITAS SEMEN BEKU SAPI JAWA BREBES

Abstract


ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to determine the effect diluent egg yolk toward quality of frozen semen of Java cattle. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), each treatment was repeated 6 times consisted of 4 treatments those were T0 = diluents without egg yolks; T1 = 5%, T2 = 10%, T3 = 15%. Data analysis preparing with normality and homogeneity testing, when the data was normal and homogeneous will be followed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the resulting data is not normal and is not homogeneous so then be analyzed by non-parametric statistics, namely Kruskal-Wallis H-Test. The result showed average of semen quality before freezing T0; T1; T2; T3 for motility 40, 37,5; 43,3 and 38.3%; live percentage 23,52; 24,07; 33,67 and 25,51%; sperm abnormality 18,27; 21,27; 18,81 and 14,69%, respectively. Average of post thawing T0; T1; T2; T3 for motilitas 6,25; 4,17; 5,42 and 4,58; live sperm percentage 15,85; 12,18; 13,30 and 16,75%; sperm abnormality 17,08; 13,15; 10,5 and 16,28%, respectively. Supplementation up to 15% of egg yolk in extender was not affected to semen quality.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengencer kuning telur terhadap kualitas semen beku sapi Jabres. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), setiap perlakuan diulangi 6 kali terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu T0= Pengencer tanpa kuning telur; T1= 5%; T2= 10%; T3= 15%. Analisis data diawali dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, apabila data normal dan homogen dilanjutkan dengan analysis of variance (ANOVA). Apabila dihasilkan data yang tidak normal dan tidak homogen maka akan dianalisis dengan statistik non-parametrik yaitu Kruskal-Wallis H-Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian rata-rata hasil pengamatan pada saat before freezing T0; T1; T2; T3 untuk motilitas yaitu 40; 37,5; 43,3 dan 38,3%; persentase hidup yaitu 23,52; 24,07; 33,67 dan 25,51%; serta abnormalitas 18,27; 21,27; 18,81; dan 14,69%. Rata-rata hasil pengamatan pada saat post thawing T0; T1; T2; T3 untuk motilitas yaitu 6,25; 4,17; 5,42 dan 4,58%; persentase hidup yaitu 15,85; 12,18; 13,30; dan 16,75%; serta abnormalitas 17,08; 13,15; 10,5; dan 16,28%. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan kualitas antar perlakuan persentase kuning telur. Jadi dapat disimpulkan penembahan kuning telur sampai 15% dalam pengencer skim kuning menghasilkam kualitas semen yang relatif sama.
